The City Guide: San Antonio, Texas
we should preface this city guide with *we're not from San Antonio.* Rather, we were temporary transplants who enjoyed the slow pace and rich culture in the stye of a traveller in a thoroughly foreign land. we emphasize this because, as transplants not natives, we know we cannot do San Antonio's rich culture justice.
of course, we love the spurs (our spurs!) and enjoyed the rodeo and fiesta during their respective month-long reigns. Yet, we cannot speak of these truly unique cultural PHENOMENON'S as if they are our own. so, instead, we'll focus on the food.
OUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT San Antonio IS THE FOOD, FROM THE SKETCHIEST TACO STANDS TO THE BURGEONING CULINARY (AKA FOODIE) SCENE. WE CREDIT San Antonio WITH OUR EXPANSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF QUESO, CHIPS AND TORTILLAS.

The amount of things "to do" in San Antonio has grown exponentially since we left in 2013. This list now includes things to do that don't require alcohol (almost always a requirement for a good time in San Antonio). HEAD TO 50'S TO SEE EVERYONE WHO GREW UP AND MOVED BACK TO San Antonio, TO REVOLUCION FOR A COFEE, JUICE AND GOOD VIBE, AND THE PEARL FOR DRINKS, A WALK AND GOOD ARCHITECTURE.

San Antonio IS A CITY SEEPED IN LATINO CULTURE, ALCOHOL AND THE SPURS. ALL THREE OF WHICH HAPPEN TO GO HAND-IN-HAND. THIS ISN'T A JAB AT THE CITY, EITHER. OFTEN, IT'S A BEAUTIFUL, SUPER COLORFUL, INTENSELY PROUD EXPERIENCE. TAKE FIESTA, FOR EXAMPLE. A MONTH-LONG CELEBRATION WHICH MOST DON'T UNDERSTAND BUT HEARTILY SUPPORT.
fiesta: NEVER UNDERSTOOD THIS THING
las nievas: OK THIS IS ALSO FOOD, BUT SO GOOD
the spurs: VAAAAAA!
